As JWU’s official knife supplier, we’re thrilled to announce that From Rice to Roll: A Sushi & Knife Skills Masterclass is now part of the JWU Kitchen Academy recreational schedule at the Johnson & Wales University campus in Providence, RI. Through this partnership, ZWILLING brings its world-renowned expertise in cutlery and hands-on culinary education directly to the Providence community, empowering food enthusiasts, passionate home chefs, and aspiring professionals to elevate their skills with confidence.


Learn how to make sushi; from cooking and seasoning rice to crafting Maki, Uramaki, and Nigiri. While creating delicious sushi, you’ll also explore the differences between German and Japanese cutlery. Under expert guidance, practice rolling, slicing, and plating techniques using both ZWILLING and the MIYABI knives to achieve better precision cuts. Discover what makes each blade unique, when and how to use them, and refine your sushi-making and knife-handling skills.
